All invited guest names will be clearly named on the invitation. Unless it is specifically stated that a date is invited, we ask that only those on the invitation list attend. Thank you so much for understanding!

While we love your kiddos, we invite you to take the weekend off parenting and join our adult-only wedding celebration. Some exceptions will be made for immediate family and special circumstances. All invited guest names, including kids, will be on the invitation.

We invite you to be fully present and share in the important moments of the day, phone-free. We therefore ask that you please refrain from using your phone for any reason (photos included) during any part of the ceremony. Our amazing professional photographer will capture all of the moments for us. We welcome photos during the more casual parts of the day.

The venue's landscape is unlike anywhere else, with rolling hills, rocky terrain, and wide-open skies that make for an unforgettable setting - and one of the many reasons we loved and chose this as our wedding venue! The ceremony will be outside in the gorgeous Circle of Love Ampitheatre followed by an outdoor cocktail hour (mix of shade and sun) and tented dinner and dance reception.

We're celebrating in style and therefore respectfully request that you come dressed for the occasion in cocktail formal wear. That said, much of the day's festivities will be outdoors and on uneven terrain. We’d recommend planning your footwear and clothing with this in mind. Think stylish but comfy shoes that can handle a hill or two. Layers are always a good idea, too—Alberta weather loves to keep us on our toes.

We're grateful that you are making the trip for our day, so the party is on us until 10 PM. If you'd like to keep the party going past 10 PM (we hope you do), please have cash or card with you..

Obsidian offers complimentary outdoor parking for all guests. If you are driving and celebrating with alcoholic beverages, we ask that you stay safe and please leave your vehicle parked until the next day or take the provided shuttle back to Sherwood Park. Please note that all vehicles must be picked up from the venue by 11 AM the following day, August 17.

Ubers and Cabs from the area will certainly take you to the venue, however, due to the remote area of the venue, getting transportation on demand late in the evening can be unpredictable and challenging. We recommend that you plan ahead and take advantage of the organized transportation between Sherwood Park (Sandman Hotel) and the venue. Once in Sherwood Park, transportation is readily available, if required.

We are so grateful for your thoughtfulness. Since we have already started our life together, we have opted out of a traditional registry. While your presence alone is enough, should you wish to gift us something, enveloped gifts are most appreciated to use toward our honeymoon and future life together.
